Valentine’s Day Movie

I went to see the Valentine’s Day movie and it was very romantic and cute.  The actors and actresses definitely made the movie.

I loved the older couple and the kid.  When Julia Roberts comes home and sees her son got me choked up.  I got some good laughs, but overall it was just a cute movie.

I have had Changeling on DVR on my television for about six months.  I finally decided to sit down and watch it. I was hesitant because it is a long movie.  I truly enjoyed watching this movie.  It was extraordinary and had some great acting in it.  It made me so frustrated at times and I just watched to smack the police chief.  It is a sad, but great movie, I wish I had not waited so long to watch it.

Edge of Darkness

Edge of Darkness on a Saturday rainy night.  So I was expecting a revengeful, intense, action packed movie and instead I got a level headed, low key action, smooth movie.  It was much less intense than I anticipated although there was one scene that scared the crap out of me.  I liked that Mel was smooth going and smart about his research and then once he knew he was dying got serious and rightfully put things to an end.  This was a good movie to see on a day like today.  I really enjoyed one of the fight scenes Mel did.  I would recommend watching this on a lazy day.

It’s All About Steve

It’s All About Steve was a creepy movie and I thought gave girls a bad rep. I got a few laughs out of the movie and Angus was my favorite character.  This movie had a message all of us could learn from too.  If you are bored one evening and feel like seeing Sandra Bullock play a great crazy, loopy, creepy character… I would watch this.

Ok, so I was supposed to be working on my research paper, but the movie The Women came on and it caught my attention.  What a cute movie.  Very chick flick!   Meg Ryan looks beautiful in this movie.  I love her hair long and curly!  My favorite part was the lingerie scene.  All you ladies out there, this is a great movie.

Just watched District 9.  Well I should say a whole 45 minutes of it.  I did not like it.  It was cheesy and stupid.  Don’t waste your time.

Marley and Me

An evening watching Marley and Me.  I love Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston.  They are great in movies.  I really liked this movie a lot.  I thought is was as Owen says, “extraordinary.”  I really enjoyed the part of the movie that he was summing up a part in their lives with one liners.  This movie made me smile and laugh and be way way sad.  It just reminded me that I love my dogs and am not looking forward to that day in our lives.  I am enjoying them now and love them so much.  If you want to see a tear jerker, this is the one.

Sunshine Cleaning

Before the UT Longhorn game came on, I watched Sunshine Cleaning.  I really enjoyed the movie.  I thought it was about real people and real life situations.  It gave me inspiration to never give up.  The grandfather was my favorite.  Him and his quirky jobs made me laugh.  Many good life lessons in this movie for children and adults and very heartfelt.  Interesting choice of jobs though, crime scene clean-up, but pretty realistic.

avatarI went to see Avatar in 3D today and it was outstanding!  I thought it was very intriguing and very well done.  I highly recommend seeing it in 3D and at the IMAX if you can.  Great, great movie!

Babes in Toyland 1961 with Annette Funicello

I just watched Babes in Toyland for the first time in over 10 years!  I loved it just as much as I did when I was a kid.  The part where Annette is singing and she multiplies in different colors is so neat.  I also really enjoy the war with Barnaby at Toyland.
